We are delighted to be taking on a further apprentice. Sarah Griffiths (19, from Blyth) will undertake her apprenticeship in Fabrication & Welding. Her training will commence in September 2018 and incorporate a day release programme with Tyne North Training, studying one day a week at their college on the Coast Road whilst receiving on the job training, 4 days a week here at WORR, for the next 4 years.
Sarah said ‘The great thing about an apprenticeship is it combines on-the-job learning with classroom-based sessions – the best of both worlds. I have always been interested in Fabrication and can’t wait to get stuck in!
Sarah will join two further apprentices at WORR, both of whom are due to start Year 3 of their training programmes. Paul Barbrook, MD at WORR said ‘We are committed to helping young people develop careers in Fabrication & Welding. It is important that we continue to invest in future generations. Delivering on our promises for education, training and employment is beneficial for the people in our local areas and we strive to have a positive impact on the communities in which we work’
